A. Basic Information

Name? Rob
Age? Gender? 26, M
Time zone? MST (Arizona)
Occupation? Software Developer

Tell us a little about yourself.

I am a pretty easy going guy, I do not get offended easily. In my spare time I like to go to the gym, and I just started running a lot (i.e. races). I am hoping to do a half marathon soon.

How long have you played WoW?

Way too long (2+ years.. stopped counting)

Total time on this character?

Made this my main about a year ago.

Do you intend to play long term?

Yes, I play even when I am in relationships (I make time).

B. System Information

* What are your system specs?
Just rebuilt my system with a Intel Core i5-750 with 4mb ram running 2x 9600gt's SLI.

* Do you have a mic?
Yes, I have a wireless headset.

* Do you have any objections to speaking on vent when needed?
No problem at all, I usually called out the healer items in my last guild.

* Do you have any disconnection problem at all?
I can only recall 2-3 in the last 6 months.

* Post a speed test from http://www.speedtest.net/ (Use the Seattle test server)

* Post a ping test from http://www.pingtest.net/ (Use the Seattle test server)

http://www.pingtest.net/result/12198888.png

* Average Latency while raiding?
I have never experienced latency that was not a blizzard issue (i.e. patch day).

* Average FPS in raid during a boss?
50-150fps

C. Raiding and Character information

1. Character Name | Spec | Class | Race (Horde Race upon acceptance)
Gons | Resto | Shaman | Not sure yet.. I would have to do some research (I have never played horde, not familiar with racials).

2. Are you a clicker? Be honest.
I use Grid+Clique for healing, for DPS I have everything keybound.

3. Are you exalted with Sons of Hodir?
Yes

4. What is your raiding experience Pre-BC? In BC? WoTLK? Specify the guilds you were in/leadership role/responsibility.
MC/BWL/Some Naxx (didnt get far before BC). I was always just a raider. I was in a few guilds on Dark Iron, Wintervale Honor Guard and Hogger if I remember correctly (long time ago).

5. Provide an armory link to your character and a wowhead link to your normal raiding spec.
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-shee ... al&cn=Gons

6. You will need lots of consumables to keep up with the pace during progression raids. Do you have the will and time to put in enough effort to keep an adequate amount?
I have about 40k gold, so I have more then enough to support my raiding consumables.

7. Will you come to a progression raid having already read any available information relevant to encounters?
I always go to TankSpot or boss killers before new bosses. If I was able to join your guild I would have to do some research on the bosses you are working on.

8. What do you think about beginning raids early and staying beyond the required raid times to down new content?
I am okay with spending extra time learning on bosses as long as we are making measurable progress. I don't see a point of bashing heads on the wall and doing worse.

9. Post a WWS report / Wow Meter Online / World of Logs of a few recent raids in your guild. If your guild does not run these, post a screenshot(s) of your recount for some boss encounters. (DO NOT LEAVE THIS OUT)

Here is a parse of our first putricide kill (which was progression for us).. You are welcome to look at other parses there as well.

10. Post a screenshot of your UI while in a raid environment (in combat). (Give a list of any relevant addons not shown.)

D. Dual Spec

1. What is your secondary spec?
Elemental offspec.

2. Are you able to play it as well as your main spec?
I have not had much of a chance to raid as Ele DPS, and I only have half of a Ele set. I usually pull around 5-6k DPS on standard dps fights. I have played caster dps
classes in the past, I just need to work on my gear and rotations.

3. Are you willing to change your main spec and/or secondary spec for guild needs?
Absolutely, I am always for doing what is best for the guild.

E. Professions

1. What are your 2 professions? if they are not maxed to the level of profession perks, why not?
Engineering/JC both maxed.

2. If you have a gathering profession/non-optimal race, what is stopping you from changing it to benefit you more?
Some people argue engineering is non-optimal, but I really like the haste glove enchant and speed boots for movement fights.

F. Other Questions

1. What guild are you currently in? Who is/was the GM? Include their website.
Acheron, GM is Starrets. http://www.acheron-guild.com/

2. Why are you leaving your current guild?
We are having issues filling raids and we stopped progressing.

3. Do you play actively outside of raiding?
Depends on the week, I usually maintain a 90%+ raid attendance, and I play when I have time.

4. Are you able to take and improve upon harsh criticism?
I am always willing to take criticism so I can learn.

5. There will be Bench time. Everyone will have to sit at one point in time or another. Are you okay with this?
I know that fights have an optimal comp, and that might mean my class having to sit.

6. Do you have a PEBKAC?
Haha not going to lie I had to google that term, but no I do not.

7. Why are you interested in joining Advent Fury? do you currently know anyone in AF?
I do not know anyone in AF, but I see that you have had good progression and I would like to join in on that.

8. What are the other guilds you applied to? any particular reason why you are shopping for multiple guilds? keep in mind we do have very good contacts in other guilds, your omission on certain information may be held against you.
I have apped to a few other off server guilds, but I rather stay ob Hyjal if possible.

9. If your application is accepted. What kind of raider can we expect you to be? Give a brief description of your attitude towards raiding in both progression and farm content. Does your level of play decline during the farm period?
I always bring a level of intensity to all encounters to try and play my class better (you can check my parses to confirm). I am not the raider who goes on cruise control when it comes to easy content. I am looking forward to the progression content.

*edited to add links for speed/ping test

Currently our tens (6/12 hardmodes) needs a shaman that can fulfill both the restoration and elemental roles. Would you possibly be interested in this? (assuming that you can gear up your ele set to be able to push 6-7k on movement fights)

Yes I am willing to take on that role, right now I am just limited by my gear. I am missing about 4 pieces of gear to make a decent set. Right now I am substituting my healing gear which is not enchanted / gemmed the way I would like. Now that I have my 4pc t10 resto I can start working on my elemental set.
